Former India captain Virat Kohli was seen sad after failing to perform again in the semi-final of the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup against England on Thursday (June 27). The modern-day great was seen looking sad after he was dismissed by Reece Topley during the third over of the match after scoring just nine runs. This dismissal added to his woes in the league. In the group stage he managed a measly five runs over three innings, with scores of 1, 4 and 0.

The batsman was consoled by Indian head coach Rahul Dravid after he failed to perform in the high-voltage match against England. The clip of Dravid and Kohli went viral on social space where the Indian opener was sitting with Jadeja and Dravid came to console him. Here’s the video:

Kohli is going through a lean spell in the ongoing marquee event. In the group stage, he managed a paltry five runs across three innings, with scores of 1, 4 and 0. Although he showed glimpses of form in the Super 8 stage, scoring 24 against Afghanistan and 37 against Bangladesh, he could not. turn those starts into big scores.

After being asked to bat, India managed to score 80 runs in eight overs losing two wickets. Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav remained steady after rain played spoilsport.

Competition cancellation and closing time:

Since there is no reserve day for this crucial match, the ICC has allocated 250 minutes of extra playing time. The match will not start losing overs until approximately 2:40 PM local time (12:10 PM IST). If it comes to that, a 10-a-side match would be possible, with the cut-off time being around 4:14 PM local time (1:44 AM IST).

If the match is cancelled, India will advance to the final due to their superior performance in the group stage and England will be eliminated.
