The theater project holds an annual golf outing on September 9

(KENILWORTH, NJ) — The Theater Project will hold its annual golf outing on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, NJ. Participants will enjoy an exciting round of golf with breakfast and lunch offering opportunities to relax and socialize.

“The Theater Project plays a critical role in elevating the voices of emerging playwrights and actors across our state,” said Senator Joe Cryan (D-Union). “Dramatic arts are an often overlooked form of expression, and I am thrilled to support this organization and the impactful work they do every day by serving as honorary chair for their golf outing.”

The golf outing will raise money for The Theater Project’s many programs for adults and youth in Northern and Central NJ, including its classes and showcases for high school playwrights and productions of new plays by local authors.

“We provide opportunities for emerging actors and emerging playwrights of all ages,” said director Mark Spina. “At the same time, we provide ways for the public to participate in the development of new work and new careers.”

$200 per golfer or $800 per foursome includes cart, green fees, breakfast and lunch. Check-in/breakfast at 8am, with a Modified Shotgun start at 9am. Lunch follows. click here to register.

The Theater Project was founded in 1994. Under the leadership of artistic director Mark Spina, they have provided well-rounded programs with a relatively small budget for an audience that is interested in and looking for stimulating, new theatre. They strive to provide a forum to express ideas that capture the imagination and challenge the mind. Encouraging their audience to think beyond the status quo and elevate the discourse around important contemporary issues is relevant to their purpose. Most importantly, their audience is willing to take a chance on a title or author they’ve never encountered before, knowing they’ll be engaged, challenged and entertained.
