The Elite Ready For A Huge 6-Man Tag At AEW-NJPW Forbidden By – TJR Wrestling

The Elite are set for an important six-way tag team match at the AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

On June 30, All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling will present the Forbidden Door PPV on June 30 in Long Island, New York. Most of AEW’s biggest names will be on the show, but going into the final Dynamite leading into Forbidden Door, The Young Bucks and The Elite’s Kazuchika Okada were not part of the show.

When AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) faced The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) on the 19th edition of AEW Dynamite, it was a non-title match. In that match, The Acclaimed picked up the victory, meaning they will get a future AEW Tag Team Title match against The Young Bucks.

During an in-ring promo segment on AEW Dynamite in Buffalo, The Acclaimed made it clear that they were coming for the AEW Tag Team Titles, but no date had been announced yet.

The Elite’s Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada interrupted The Acclaimed’s promo. Okada: “Scissor me, bitch.” Okada loves to say bitch, as AEW fans have learned.

Matt Jackson told fans to show respect to the EVPs. Nick Jackson said they had some business to do. Nick said that at Forbidden Door they challenged The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn, who called Nick assholes. Gunn said he couldn’t hear it because the fans were telling The Elite they sucked. Gunn said he knows how to handle EVPs. Gunn said he happened to know a president and that led to NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi appearing on screen.

In a video promo with on-screen translations, Tanahashi said he is coming to Forbidden Door to fight his old rival Okada, so he will team with The Acclaimed against The Elite’s Young Bucks and Okada. Tanahashi: “Scissors Ace coming.”

That means it will be The Acclaimed & Hiroshi Tanahashi against The Young Bucks & Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door. An image appeared on the screen to promote that match.

The Elite picks the Wild Card in the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament

Before the segment in the arena, Young Bucks duo Matthew and Nicholas Jackson were backstage with their AEW Tag Team Titles. Nick claimed that The Acclaimed beat them last week because The Young Bucks were distracted. Matt said it was okay because they were still the AEW Tag Team Champions while Kazuchika Okada was still the Continental Champion and Jack Perry becomes the TNT Champion at Forbidden Door in a Ladder Match.

The most interesting thing about what they said is that Matt claimed they would field their own Wild Card in the Owen Hart Foundation Cup. Matt said that humans are going to win the tournament so they will have all the power and all the gold.

While there is no confirmation yet, many people are predicting ‘Hangman’ Adam Page in that spot as the Wild Card wrestler.
