South Hamilton softball holds off Roland-Story for season win, 8-6 – KQRadio

The South Hamilton Hawks and Roland-Story Norsemen softball teams were back in action Tuesday night as they renewed their long-standing rivalry at South Hamilton High School in Jewell. South Hamilton came in at 12-15, while Roland-Story came in at 7-18.

Both sides would trade a run in the first inning, tying the game at 1-1. The 3rd would see both teams come away with 2 runs each to make it 3-3 after 3 innings, but South Hamilton would start to pull away with 2 runs in the 4th and 3 runs in the 6th to get an 8- 3 to take. pipe. Tanna Thompson would go 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored, while Sydnee Flaugh had an RBI and Lillie Ammerman went 1-for-1 with an RBI and two runs scored.
