‘Price is Right’ host Drew Carey makes surprising claims about contestants

The participants of “The Price Is Right” competition come in high prices – and we’re not talking about their cost estimates in the game.

Host Drew Carey said many game show players are apparently excited.

“That happens around here all the time,” Carey recently told TV Insider. “They have a gummy, or I smell alcohol on their breath. Not uncommon. There was a man here who tripped over mushrooms. He came with a bunch of friends. He was a sketch (comedy) guy. I found out later when I went to UCB (sketch improv theater, Upright Citizens Brigade) to hang out and they said, “Did you see that guy who claimed to be a skateboarding rabbi?” I asked him what he did for a living. And he says, ‘I’m a skateboarding rabbi.’ He didn’t think he was going to be picked, and he totally stumbled.”

Deadline joked that Carey provided new context for the game show’s “bring it on” catchphrase.

It seems that game show hosts can get stoned too.
