PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi reacts to Haris Rauf fight incident; tells the fan to apologize or take legal action

Haris Rauf and a Pakistani fan got into a heated argument in the US over some words |  XMohsin Naqvi, the PCB chief, has reacted strongly to the recent incident where pacer Haris Rauf and a Pakistani fan got into an argument in the US.

Naqvi, in a strongly worded statement on social media, said he condemned the incident and lashed out at the fan, who was accused of verbally abusing Haris Rauf.

Haris Rauf was seen walking down the sidewalk with his wife when a fan interrupted him and appeared to ask for a photo.

A moment later you see Haris Rauf jumping off the sidewalk on the other side and arguing with the fan. Rauf was furious and the fan almost got into a fight before being removed by others.

The PCB chief urged the fan in question to apologize to Haris Rauf and threatened legal action if he did not.

Strongly condemn the horrific incident involving Haris Rauf. Such actions against our players are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Those involved must immediately apologize to Haris Rauf. Failing this, we will take legal action against the person responsible.” Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Haris Rauf also clarified his side of the story on social media and the entire incident has evoked mixed reactions from the Pakistan Cricket Association.
