Israel Adesanya predicts Alex Pereira vs. Jiří Procházka 2: “Expect a different approach…”

Israel Adesanya weighs in on Alex Pereira vs. Jiří Procházka 2

During a recent segment on his YouTube channel, Adesanya gave his analysis of the rematch between Pereira and Procházka.

“I’m going to Jiri, because we are the chosen ones,” Adesnaya predicted. “But I also think maybe he learned from his mistake, because people don’t understand, and it also makes things interesting – if (Jiri wins) then it’s a trifecta, a trilogy…

“The approach of both fighters will be different because they both know what can happen. Alex knows he can be taken down and controlled, and Jiri knows he can be knocked out. But Alex also knows that he can be touched and hurt by Jiri. More calculated, slower, because they also do this in the short term.”

Pereira is undefeated since moving to the UFC light heavyweight division full-time in 2023. He has defeated the likes of Jamahal Hill and Jan Blachowicz during his eventful stint at 205 pounds.

Procházka is looking to recapture the magic that won him the UFC light heavyweight title by defeating Pereira’s mentor Glover Teixeira at UFC 275. Just months later, he vacated the title after suffering a significant shoulder injury.

Adesanya will watch all the action at UFC 303 as he prepares for his UFC return in August. Time will tell if Pereira will retain the title, or if a new champion will be crowned.
