Ian Garry takes comparisons to Conor McGregor as praise and compares them to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant

UFC undefeated welterweight contender Ian Garry is all set and trained to face Michael Page at the UFC 303 pay-per-view. Garry has an incredible mixed martial arts record of 14 wins and no losses in his entire career.

Ian Garry is from Ireland and is a great admirer of former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor, his fellow countryman. McGregor is widely regarded as the greatest and most famous UFC fighter of all time.

Often, UFC fight fans and fighters mock Ian Garry for mimicking and copying Conor McGregor’s style and trash talk. In an interview, his opponent at UFC 303 pay-per-view, Michael Page, labeled Ian Garry as the “Fake Conor McGregor.”

A few hours ago, the UFC hosted a media day event for the UFC 303 pay-per-view. The fighters featured on the card appeared before the media and answered questions.

When Ian Garry was in the booth, an interviewer asked about Garry’s reaction to some people who were mockingly comparing him to Conor McGregor and even labeling him as the fake Conor McGregor.

Ian Garry said he feels good when people associate his name with Conor, saying it’s akin to Kobe trying to be Michael Jordan: “(Conor McGregor) is the biggest star the sport has ever seen, so if you compare me to him that means I’m doing something right. I’m not trying to be like him in any way, shape or form. Definitely how many people have talked about Kobe Bryant trying to be like Michael Jordan?”

Ian continued, “Kobe Bryant went out and made a legacy of himself in his own way, but with traits and styles similar to Jordan’s.”

Conor McGregor posts explicit tweets about Dustin Poirier’s wife

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor was all set to return to the UFC Octagon this weekend after a long break of nearly three and a half years at the UFC 303 pay-per-view. “Mystic Mac” was booked to headline the UFC 303 event against Michael Chandler.

Unfortunately, the UFC was forced to cancel the highly anticipated main event spectacle between Michael Chandler and the returning Conor McGregor after Mystic Mac suffered an injury during a sparring session during the buildup to UFC 303.

Even after his fight was canceled, Conor McGregor continued to mock his former rival Dustin Poirier and taunt Michael Chandler.

Conor McGregor recently posted an explicit tweet about Dustin Poirier’s wife, Jolie Poirier, after a 2018 clip of Dustin Poirier went viral during a podcast appearance. In the clip, Poirier revealed a story about a fistfight in the street when a man leaned over his wife’s back and whispered something in her ear. “The Diamond” lost his cool and dropped the man there along with his brother.

Conor McGregor wrote in a now-deleted tweet: ‘A man came up to her and bent her over a fence and whispered in her ear and all I saw was red. I bent her over and fucked her ears. He saw red, buddy. Sexy red.”

The saga between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier may never end, even three mega-fights into their UFC careers. Conor McGregor won the first fight and Dustin Poirier won the next two.
