Allchin named a CSC Academic All-American

Graduate outfielder Jadelyn Allchin of the UCLA softball team was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Third Team Academic All-American on Tuesday morning. This marks the first Academic All-America recognition in her five-year collegiate career.

Allchin completed her certification in UCLA’s marketing extension program in 2024. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in 2023 before transferring.

Allchin was one of the most valuable transfer signings in the country in 2024. The Fountain Valley product received the first All-Pac-12 Team recognition of her career and was named to the Second Team. Allchin was one of four Bruins to start all 55 games and enjoyed career-best records in batting average (.317), runs batted in (33), runs scored (40) and stolen bases (10-10). She held the second spot in the lineup for 35 games and reached the top third of the lineup in 43 of 55 games this season.

Allchin began her professional softball career with the growing Athletes Unlimited League, based in Wichita, Kansas and Chicago, Illinois. Fans can watch every Athletes Unlimited game on the ESPN Family of Networks.
