Akshay Kumar’s martial arts trainees get jobs in the IT department

Mumbai, June 26 (IANS): Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is over the moon that students of his martial arts academy have been posted to the Income Tax (IT) department in Mumbai.

Akshay took to Instagram where he posted pictures while posing next to the newly appointed students holding their appointment orders.

The “Khiladi” of Bollywood said he is “extremely happy”.

He captioned the image: “I am extremely happy that Kudo, the martial art for which my company provides training, has been recognized for appointment under sports quota.”

“Just look at the smiles of my students when they receive their appointment letters from the Income Tax Department in Mumbai. It made me so emotional and so proud,” the actor added.

The 56-year-old star, who has been in the industry for over thirty years and is himself trained in various martial arts forms such as Karate, Taekwondo and Muay Thai, is one of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood.

After starting his career in 1991 with “Saugandh”, he acted in various genres of films. He paved the way for himself with the serial “Khiladi”. He went on to feature in films like “Mohra”, “Dhadkan”, “Andaaz”, Namastey London”, “Hera Pheri” franchise, “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi”, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, “Singh Is Kinng”, “Ajnabee”, “Garam Masala”, “Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty”, “Rowdy Rathore”, “Kesari” and “Sooryavanshi” to name a few.

On June 24, Akshay took part in the tree plantation drive in Mumbai in honour of his late parents Hari Om Bhatia and Aruna Bhatia.

Looking ahead, the actor, whose last release was ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Tiger Shroff, will next appear in ‘Sarfira’.

The film depicts the journey of Veer Mhatre, whose main goal is to introduce low-cost airlines.

It is inspired by the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Indian discount carrier Simplifly Deccan. “Sarfira” is a remake of star Suriya’s hit Tamil film “Soorarai Pottru”.
